Transparent single crystal Mg–Mn ferrite films are studied by means of Faraday effect which enables to combine the measurement of the static magnetization with the observation of the domain structure. In fields up to 10 Oe the magnetization reversal is effected only by the domain wall motion. Using the Faraday effect a spontaneous rotation of magnetization from the plane of the film (5 to 8°) is found.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
