The diffuse reflectaaces of various samples of cloth and excised pig skin vere deternined using a Cohlentz type reflectoaeter which was constructed for use in the range OA ja to 2.6^. It-was necessary to laafee preliminary reflection readings on each sample^ in the range from 0.^^ to 0.7^^ with a General llectric automatic recording spectrophotometer so that a correction factor could he determined to correct for energy losses suffered in the hemispherical reflectometer, A sjodifieation-was suggested on the "basis of errors hrou^t out in the technique used. lOTl: This study was carried out through the facilities of the UniTerslty of Bochester Atomic Energy Project, under contract with the U.
