The technique of middle-point matching accompanied by an iterative application of suitable correction formulas for trial values of corresponding parameters is considered in integrating a two-channel Schrodinger equation. In the case of the deuteron wave equations, when tensor forces are taken into account, a correction formula for improving an initial energy value is used in obtaining the binding energy and the corresponding wave functions, the formula giving quadratic convergence. The extension of the method to nucleon-nucleon scattering states is straightforward and the variable quantities are, in that case, the parameters of a phenomenological potential. 1 H. Feshbach and J. (15) a similar but spin-independent chargesymmetry-breaking potential which fits the A----4 value of ABA= (0.56~ 0.1)MeV, we obtain for the level shift needed to ensure stability for aLiA only one-half the magnitude required, but this time in the right direction. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
