The purpose of the article is to study the influence of digitalization factors on the investment activity of the largest cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the research, the methods of correlation analysis, indexing, comparison, generalization, and synthesis were applied. The scientific novelty of the study lies in assessing the impact of digitalization on the investment potential of cities. The authors selected and analyzed indicators for assessing the level of digitalization of the megalopolises of the Republic of Kazakhstan; the methodology was modified and the level of digitalization of cities of republican significance of the Republic of Kazakhstan was assessed, conclusions were drawn about the current and future potential of digitalization as a factor in increasing the investment attractiveness of these cities. General conclusions were made that for Almaty and Nur-Sultan, digitalization is already a good factor in attracting investment, while Shymkent needs enhanced development of digital infrastructure for it to become a factor in increasing investment activity in the city. The research results can be used both in the formation of long-term plans for the development of these cities, and as a basis for further research in this direction. Prospects for further research on this topic - in increasing the available reliable and relevant data through the collection of official statistics, expanding the range of digitalization factors affecting investment activity and the use of more comprehensive assessment methods that will determine not only the closeness of the relationship, but also the exact value of the effects of factors each other.
The purpose of the work is to study the problems of territorial and economic development within the confines of regulated activation of urbanization processes in the Republic of Kazakhstan. To achieve it, authors analysed the statistical data on such indicators as population density, administrative-territorial division, according to which significant disproportions of territorial and economic development and settlement in the republic, the development of the regions of Kazakhstan were revealed. The authors studied the main provisions of regional policy, considered the main directions of state management of the formation of centers of urbanization with the decisive role of cities with a population of millions people in the optimization of regional economic systems. Research on this topic allowed the authors to conclude that the process of urbanization in Kazakhstan has a dynamic character and has not yet exhausted its potential, which gives reason to conclude that it is necessary to form new centers of urbanization and agglomerations. The article examines the main trends of the urbanization process at the present stage, namely, in economically developed countries, where urbanization has reached a sufficiently high level, the share of the urban population is growing at a slower pace, whereas in developing countries the urbanization process continues to grow in breadth and has a spontaneous, uncontrollable character. At the same time, the growth of population in cities far outstrips their economic development. Materials and research methods. When studying the territorial and economic features of urbanization in Kazakhstan, a complex of the following research methods were used: monographic, program-targeted, statistical analysis. In this work also used such theoretical research methods as comparisons and generalizations, scientific abstraction and synthesis.
Introduction. In Kazakhstan, no systematic work is carried out to collect data and evaluate illicit activities in the form in which it could be compared with the main macroeconomic indicators. The purpose of the article, therefore, is to examines methods for evaluation of the share of drug trafficking in Kazakhstan's GDP and GRP. The methodology used in the research is based on the principles of the System of National Accounts. Results. Based on international experience and practice of applying the evaluation of illicit activities according to the recommendations of Eurostat, the authors carry out an estimation of the share of illicit traffic in narcotic drugs in the economy of Kazakhstan in 2011-2016 as a whole and by regions. The most common drugs in Kazakhstan are heroin, cannabinoids (marijuana, hashish) and opiates. Thus, the analysis and evaluation were carried out for these types of drugs. Base at the proposed formulas, the calculations were made to evaluate the use of each drug in Kazakhstan, the volume of imports and domestic production, trade margins and gross value added (GVA) by activities related to its spread. Conclusion. The calculations make it possible to estimate the real volumes of drug trafficking in Kazakhstan's GRP and GDP. The evaluation of the share of illicit drug trafficking in Kazakhstan's GDP has shown a declining trend in recent years: the share of GVA regarding GDP in 2016 amounted to KZT 199,306.5 million (USD 596.726 million), which was 0.58%. However, heroin consumption is the largest one, due to its prevalence among consumers. Despite the lack of production of heroin on the territory of Kazakhstan, its transit and distribution remains stable.
The article is devoted to the study of modern trends in the process of urbanization management in developed countries and the development of recommendations on the application of management tools to the acceptable realities of Kazakhstan. The administrative processes of urbanization of the countries of Poland, India, China, Latin America, etc. were interesting and priority objects of research. The work was written on the basis of studying the development of cities and generalizing all the emerging connections as a single system. The information base of the study was the works of well-known foreign and domestic scientists on the topic of urbanization, as well as statistical materials and ratings of the countries of the world on the level of urbanization of the UN.A distinctive aspect of the study is the analysis of urbanization management in the countries of Poland, India, China, Latin America in relation to specific problems. The article gives the basic characteristics of the urbanization process in Kazakhstan, identifies the distinctive features and factors constraining the effectiveness of urban development management based on the works of Kazakhstani scientists and economists, which identified a number of key problems of the urbanization management process in our country. The results of the study are of a recommendatory nature, determining priority approaches to using foreign experience and adapting it to the realities of the Kazakh model, which can be considered when implementing urban development management programs by authorized bodies.
