The technologies associated with industry 4.0, have taken a leading role worldwide, because being globally competitive in the industrial sector depends not only on the real world but also on the digital world. This is why the predictive techniques used in maintenance and that currently employ technologies such as: internet of things, machine learning, big data, cyber physical Systems, Data analysis among others; to make their predictions they have defined a path in the continuous improvement of industrial processes and in the execution of the maintenance strategy. This work shows the most developed technologies 4.0 in Colombia used in industrial maintenance and exposes the country’s gaps in the development of these technologies and their use in different industrial sectors. This research was developed through the analysis of consolidated data in studies conducted by the private sector and the public in Colombia on technological developments in the country where it is evident that these technologies associated with maintenance are in growth stage and in a few sectors of industry have exploited the benefits of use.
Maintenance during industrial development has evolved and adapted to each challenge presented. The progress and development of computer science have opted for the massive use of information and communication technologies that arise in industrial processes generating new possibilities in maintenance management and operation. In Colombia, public and private organizations have carried out exhaustive studies on the use and maturation of technology in different industrial sectors. These studies provide valuable information on the technological progress of the country and the gaps that exist to achieve a competitive country globally. These data were analyzed and purchased with the relevance that maintenance has in Colombian industries and with current maintenance management techniques focused on improving decision making within organizations. This research establishes, within a timeline, the concerns that in the short, medium and long term should meet the maintenance in the so-called industry 4.0 in Colombia contributing to the country’s industry in improving one of its nerve processes to have companies sustainable and competitive.
Maintenance during industrial development has evolved, always seeking the in-depth study of the physical phenomena that occur in the elements and systems that have suffered functional failures. Maintenance has been adapted to each challenge presented. The progress and development of computer science have opted for the massive use of information and communication technologies that support industrial processes, generating new possibilities in maintenance management and operation. These tools could contribute to improving the efficiency of maintenance processes, taking into account that these costs represent a third of the total production cost in an organization. This work seeks to identify the evolution of these technological tools in the applications that they have had in representing the physical phenomena of maintenance management. This research also seeks to establish the minimum requirements that these tools must consider in their applications and uses. Considering the appropriation of these technologies in Colombia, in order to determine where the country is in terms of development and technological use, being important information for the recognition of the scenario and decision-making that prevail in a competitive Colombian industry world level.
The 7th International Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation (7th IWSTI), which took place from 6 to 9 October de 2020, in the city of San José de Cúcuta, Colombia, and was organized by the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander headquarters in San José de Cúcuta and Ocaña. The 7th IWSTI conference is aimed at the academic and scientific community and to the productive sectors of the region, and have a purpose are the dissemination of academic, and research works; moreover, promotes the exchange of experiences between researchers as well as the participation of the productive sectors in research, extension, technological development, and innovation activities for contribution to strengthening the relationship University-Company-State. The 7th International Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation (7th IWSTI) generated spaces for the exchange experiences academic and scientific in different knowledge areas between students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and researchers from Belgium, Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Colombia. Additionally, during the 7th IWSTI, was held the IV Interinstitutional Conference of Research Seedbeds of the Alliance of Higher Education Institutions SIES+ is held; the main goal of this meeting was to socialize the research proposals and research results, obtained in different areas of knowledge, by the Research Seedbeds of the Educational Institutions of Norte de Santander, SIES+, Colombia. The pedagogical practices are the various actions that the teacher executes to enhance the human development of the student. Within these activities are teaching, communicating, socializing experiences, reflecting from everyday life, evaluating cognitive processes and even interacting with the educational community. These practices require a conceptual, procedural and strategie preparation on the part of the teacher. Their knowledge will never be enough to achieve that their students as individuals or collectively manage to appropriate the seeds of knowledge that they must acquire. The riskiest teachers build their proposals for pedagogical practices within the framework of research projects, to obtain models that allow evaluating the effectiveness of their activities. Later, after an act of reflection and argumentation based on their own experiences as well as those of others, these innovative teachers manage to have sufficiënt arguments to socialize and disseminate their new knowledge and experience acquired.
