Absorption and emission spectra are investigated, as well as the luminescence decay for NaI crystals doped with Pb a t different concentrations and subjected to various thermal treatments. The evolution of the optical spectra after thermal treatment is associated with different dispersion states of the divalent cation impurity in the NaI matrix. After UV irradiation, the Na1:Pb crystals in the precipitation state of the impurity show photosensitivity similar to t.hat observed in U V irradiated PbI, crystals.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
