M . KirovLongitudinal and transverse velocities of sound in [loo] and [110] directions were measured at 80 t o 400 K in single crystals of the isostructural monosilicides of Co, Mn, and Fe and in polycrystalline CrSi. The temperature dependences of the elastic constants and moduli for CoSi, MnSi, and CrSi were described by a theoretical equation. Values of flD(0) were found by extrapolating the elastic constants and moduli to 0 K. The anomalous temperature dependences of elastic constants of FeSi, the behaviour of Griineisen coefficients, and the phonon frequency distribution in the monosilicides studied are discussed.B m a n a 3 0~e TeMnepaTyp OT 80 no 400 K m3~epe~b1 npononbmae H nonepevHbIe CKOPOCTH a~ytca B HanpasneHmx [loo] EI [llO] B MOHOKPMCTa. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
