The paper proposes a new method for multistage plowing that implies loosening bottom soil and subsoil horizon simultaneously, followed by overturning the bottom soil without cutting, which improves the quality of soil cultivation, softens a plow sole and reduces energy costs. Experimental studies confirmed the theoretical relationship for determining the plowing resistance, both of certain working bodies of a section, and of a whole plow. The method proposed for multistage plowing that implies loosening the subsoil provides a decrease in plowing resistance by 8.3-9.8% compared to the existing double-depth plowing followed by loosening the subsoil.
The article describes a strain gauge measuring system designed for measuring the traction resistance of tillage bodies and their combinations. Technical tools measure the traction resistance of the whole machine or one working body which is not an objective and reliable characteristics of combined tillage units. The design and principle of operation of the tensometric measuring system designed and manufactured by Samara State Agrarian University is described. It is used to determine the traction resistance of individual working bodies and their combinations. The results show that the measurement data on traction resistance are in compliance with the calculated values.
The issues of reducing emissions of harmful substances by power facilities of railway transport are considered. It is established self-consistent railroad engines are the main source of environmental problems associated with the emission of pollutants. The main directions for the environmental safety of self-consistent railroad engines under operating conditions are given. Based on the results of the research conducted and the calculations of the cumulative indicator of the exhaust emissions of self-consistent railroad engines, it was found that the use of natural gas as a fuel is the most promising for solving environmental problems.
The issue of improving the environmental safety of locomotive-type diesel engines by using hydrogen is considered. The analysis of pollutants that pose a special danger to the atmosphere. To ensure reliable operation of locomotive-type diesel engine with hydrogen supply, an on-board system has been developed. To solve environmental problems in rail transport, the article provides experimental data on the assessment of the effect of hydrogen additives on the levels of emissions of harmful substances on the example of a diesel shunting diesel locomotive ChME3.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
