Congenital pathology of the gastrointestinal tract occupies a leading place among the neonatal surgical pathology. Surgeryallows the correction of the defect, but does not immediately eliminate the complex of pathophysiological changes associated with the underlying pathology, other congenital malformations, infections etc. An important role in the surgical treatment of intestinal pathology in neonates belongs not only to determining the volume and types of surgical correction of anomalies, but also to anaesthesia and intensive care. The search for effective measures in the perioperative management of patients in order to reduce complications and mortality is an urgent task of neonatal surgery, intensive care and anaesthesiology. A comprehensive and fundamental solution to this problem is a recently published consensus guidelines from the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Society (ERAS®). This article provides an abridged and adapted translation of these recommendations on Ukrainian language.
