Recent availability of geo-localized data capturing individual human activity together with the statistical data on international migration opened up unprecedented opportunities for a study on global mobility. In this paper, we consider it from the perspective of a multi-layer complex network, built using a combination of three datasets: Twitter, Flickr and official migration data. Those datasets provide different, but equally important insights on the global mobility – while the first two highlight short-term visits of people from one country to another, the last one – migration – shows the long-term mobility perspective, when people relocate for good. The main purpose of the paper is to emphasize importance of this multi-layer approach capturing both aspects of human mobility at the same time. On the one hand, we show that although the general properties of different layers of the global mobility network are similar, there are important quantitative differences among them. On the other hand, we demonstrate that consideration of mobility from a multi-layer perspective can reveal important global spatial patterns in a way more consistent with those observed in other available relevant sources of international connections, in comparison to the spatial structure inferred from each network layer taken separately.

One of the developmental directions of Future Internet technologies is the implementation of artificial intelligence systems for manipulating data and the surrounding world in a more complex way. Rule-based systems, very accessible for people’s decision-making, play an important role in the family of computational intelligence methods. The use of decision-making rules along with decision trees are one of the simplest forms of presenting complex decision-making processes. Decision support systems, according to the cross-industry standard process for data mining (CRISP-DM) framework, require final embedding of the learned model in a given computer infrastructure, integrated circuits, etc. In this work, we deal with the topic concerning placing the learned rule-based model of decision support in the database environment-exactly in the SQL database tables. Our main goal is to place the previously trained model in the database and apply it by means of single queries. In our work we assume that the decision-making rules applied are mutually consistent and additionally the Minimal Description Length (MDL) rule is introduced. We propose a universal solution for any IF THEN rule induction algorithm.
The article deals with the issues related to the modernization of the educational programme "Computer Engineering" for the IT-profile graduates using competence-based approach. The problems of specialists training, ways of modernizing the educational programme are considered. Particular attention is paid to the competence-based approach and the specifics of teaching at Masters level according to the new curriculum. The transformational experience of the higher education system of the Republic of Belarus is analysed from the point of view of its adaptation to the European Higher Education Area standards and traditions as well as from the point of view improving its efficiency in the conditions of dynamic labour market. Special emphasis has been made on IT-specialist social competences development as a condition for both professional self-realisation and more successful professional socialisation of future specialists.
This article describes data modeling for practice-oriented subject domains they are basis of general data model for data warehouse creation. Describes short subject domains characteristic relationship to different types of any human activities at the current time. Offered appropriate data models, considered relationship between them as data processing and data warehouse creation, which can be built on information data storage technology and which has some characteristics as extensible complex subject domain, data integration, which get from any data sources, data time invariance with required temporal marks, relatively high data stability, search necessary compromises in data redundancy, system blocks modularity, flexibility and extensibility of architecture, high requirements to data storage security. It’s proposed general approach of data collection and data storage, appropriate data models, in the future, will integrate in one database scheme and create generalized scheme of data warehouse as type «constellation of facts». For getting of data models applies structural methodology and consider general principles of conceptual design. Using complex system, which can work with some information sources and represent data in convenient view for users will in-demand for analysis data selected subject domains and determination of possible relationships.
