One thousand nineteen Wyoming ground squirrels (Spermophilus elegans elegans) from 4 populations in southern Wyoming were examined for intestinal parasites. The most prevalent parasites were 6 species of coccidia: Eimeria beecheyi, Eimeria bilamellata, Eimeria callospermophili, Eimeria larimerensis, Eimeria morainensis, and Eimeria spermophili. Most ground squirrels harbored 2 or more species. This eimerian assemblage was present across populations and over years. Differences in the prevalence of infection were not found among host age classes or between sexes. The presence or absence of helminths was independent of the presence and absence of Eimeria. A log-linear model to test the independence of the distribution of Eimeria spp. among hosts revealed 3 significant positive associations, for E. bilamellata and E. beecheyi, E. morainesis and E. callospermophili, and E. larimerensis and E. bilamellata.

Fifty-five spotted seals, Phoca largha, from the seasonal pack ice of the Bering Sea were examined for helminth parasites. Twelve species of helminths were found: Anophryocephalus ochotensis, Diplogonoporus tetrapterus, Diphyllobothrium cordatum, Phocanema decipiens, Contracaecum osculatum, Dipetalonema spirocauda, Phocitrema fusiforme, Corynosoma semerme, C. strumosum, C. validum, C. villosum, and Bolbosoma sp. Six species are new host records (A. ochotensis, D. tetrapterus, D. cordatum, D. spirocauda, C. validum, and C. villosum).

Pricetrema phocae and Pricetrema eumetopii spp.n. are described from the harbor seal, Phoca vitulina richardsi (Gray), and Steller sea lion, Eumetopias jubatus (Schreber), respectively.

One specimen of the trematode Ogmogaster antarcticus Johnston, 1931 was recovered from a sample of bowhead whale ingesta collected at Barrow, Alaska. This represents a new host record and extends the known geographic distribution of this helminth some 5000 km by sea north of British Columbia, Canada.
