The magnetization versus magnetic field in Zno 95Mno o5Te has been measured at 1.6 K in a pulsed high magnetic field up to 42 T. The first, second, and the beginning of the third magnetization step corresponding to the nearest-neighbor (NN) manganese-ion-pair magnetization are observed. The analysis of the data in the framework of a generalized cluster model leads to three main results: (i) the exchange constant between NN Mn ions is J/k& ---8. 8+0. 1 K; (ii) the contribution of three Mn ion clusters becomes non-negligible for magnetic fields higher than 20 T; (iii) the results support a random distribution of Mn ions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
