Social Science textbooks tend to be less dynamic and integrative with Islamic values and local culture. This research is aimed to compose an integrated social science learning textbook which is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ nationalism character. Type of research and development (R&D) with 4D model procedures (define, design, develop and disseminate) to fulfill the procedure of development. The developed textbook that fulfills scientists’ validity result and its practical use as the participants’ valuation and the implementation of learning. It can enhance students’ nationalism characters and contribute to learning on the character education program, preventive action, enhance the understanding of social, religious, and cultural life values and it should be widely recognized by educators.
This research aimed to support and implement government programs of National Education in preparing Qualified and Creative Primary Teacher Candidates. Specific targets were (1) developing elementary Mathematics learning packages assisted by manipulative media, namely: (a) Student Books, (b) Student Worksheets, (c) Lesson Plan. The research design used modification and adaptation from 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), by Thiagarajan, et al (1974). The criteria which used as a reference for implementing the effectiveness of elementary school mathematics learning Packages were: (1) interaction of Student and (2) student learning outcomes. The results shows that the development of learning Package with a 4-D model that has been modified, starting from the front end analysis (Define), the initial design of learning packages (Design), until the trial step of Learning Package (Develop). Implementation and desimination have not been implemented. Elementary mathematics learning Packages assisted by manipulative media on number material are valid, effective, and practical to improve mathematical pedagogy skills of qualified and creative elementary school teachers candidates. The effectiveness of the learning packages meets the effective criteria by: (1) student activities when participating in high learning and (2) the learning outcomes of the teacher candidiates are complete with the average learning outcome is at 77.24 of the ideal score of 100 and the completeness test of the learning outcomes test with grades the probability of one sample t-test is 0.003 <0.05, which means that students' learning outcomes are complete.
This study examines the low learning outcomes of mathematics in fifth grade students of SD Inpres Maccini Baru, Tamalate District, Makassar City. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the Problem Based Learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fifth grade students of SD Inpres Maccini Baru, Tamalate District, Makassar City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in 4 (four) stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The focus of this research is the application of the Problem Based Learning model and student learning outcomes. The setting of this research is the fifth grade of SD Inpres Maccini Baru, Tamalate District, Makassar City, while the subject of this research is one class teacher and 24 students consisting of 13 female students and 11 male students. In this study, the researcher acts as a teacher and the class teacher acts as an observer. Data analysis techniques are qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the teacher's teaching activities in the first cycle still showed a sufficient category and in the second cycle increased to a good category. Similarly, student learning activities in the first cycle were in the sufficient category and in the second cycle increased to a good category. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes in the first cycle were in the sufficient category and student learning outcomes in the second cycle increased to a good category. The conclusion of this study is that through the application of the Problem Based Learning model, the learning outcomes of mathematics in fifth grade students of SD Inpres Maccini Baru, Tamalate District, Makassar City have increased.
Tujuan kegiatan yang diinginkan adalah mengenalkan cara-cara penggunaan dan pembuatan alat peraga puzzle sedini mungkin bagi mahasiswa PGSD FIP UNM karena kebanyakan guru sekolah dasar kesulitan dalam mengajarkan matematika, khususnya untuk materi geometri. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya ketersediaan media terkhusus media puzzle serta tidak dilengkapi cara penggunaannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian adalah penyampaian materi secara ceramah dan demonstrasi, praktik pembuatan alat peraga oleh para peserta, dan praktik simulasi penggunaan alat peraga oleh kelompok-kelompok peserta. Produk yang dihasilkan selama pengabdian adalah media puzzle yang terbentuk dari 7 kepingan bangun datar geometri diantaranya bangun datar geometri yang dipotong menjadi bentuk-bentuk tertentu seperti, Dua segitiga siku-siku sama kaki (besar), Dua segitiga siku-siku sama kaki (kecil), Satu segitiga siku-siku sama kaki (sedang), Satu bujursangkar (kecil), dan Satu jajaran genjang yang dapat dimanipulatif keberbagai bentuk
Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji sejauh mana tingkat efektivitas pemanfaatan media pembelajaran GeoGebra dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri mahasiswa calon guru Sekolah Dasar. Model belajar yang yang digunakan adalah model belajar dalam jaringan (daring) guna mencegah penyebaran Covid 19. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar angket respon siswa, dan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk online-form. Data aktivitas siswa dan respons siswa dianalisis menggunakan persentase sedangkan data hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Rata-rata skor hasil belajar (posttest) mencapai 83,80 dari skor ideal 100 dengan standar deviasi 5,87. Peningkatan hasil belajar berada pada kategori minimal sedang dengan rata-rata mencapai 0,66 dari skor ideal 1, (2) Rata-rata persentase aktivitas mahasiswa calon guru SD berada diatas 80% yakni sebesar 85,45% menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa terlibat aktif selama proses pembelajaran geometri dengan menggunakan Media Pembelajaran GeoGebra, (3) Respons mahasiswa berada pada kategori cenderung positif dengan skor rata-rata siswa mencapai 3,47 dari skor ideal 4, dan (4) Media Pembelajaran GeoGebra efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Geometri Calon Guru SD.
