In western France, partially because of the lack of flint in the continental area, bipolar technology met with great success during the Neolithic. Beg ar Loued (Île-Molène, Finistère) and Guernic (Saint-Pierre-Quiberon, Morbihan) are good examples of this phenomenon. This paper attempts to reply to some questions arising from these assemblages using experimentation. From knapping tools to finished tools, the aim was to obtain a maximum of information from these experiments in order to answer some problematics but also to propose a useful frame of reference for people concerned with the technological study of industries characterized by the presence of bipolar technology.
Évolution des paysages et occupation humaine en mer d'Iroise (Finistère, Bretagne) du Néolithique à l'Âge du Bronze Landscapes evolution and human settlement in the Iroise Sea (Finistère, Brittany, France) during Neolithic and Bronze Age
