This paper presents a study on the Florianopolis High, a tectonic-structural feature located on the southeast continental shelf between Santos and Pelotas basins. Specifically, we propose the analysis of potential data (gravimetric and magnetometric data) and interpretation of 2D seismic reflection lines associated with well data. Therefore, it was possible to suggest its nature and formation process of the Florianópolis High. The tectonic and stratigraphic analysis of the Florianópolis High was configured as an important and active splitter of Santos and Pelotas basins until the Turonian / Coniacian, when this splitter then migrated toward the Alto de Torres.
