Constipation becomes one of the diseases that are often suffered by the elderly, many factors that affect constipation one of which is fiber intake. The goal of the study was to find out the relationship of fiber intake with the incidence of constipation in the elderly (elderly). The research is conducted with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in the study as many as 65 elderly, sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The majority of research results obtained fiber intake of fewer than 50 people (76.9%), constipation as many as 34 people (52.3%), adequate fiber intake as many as 15 people (23.1%), and not constipation as many as 31 people (47.7%). The chi-square test result was p-value 0.010 (? = <0.05), suggesting there was a meaningful relationship between fiber intake and constipation events. The conclusion of a study of less fiber intake can result in constipation in the elderly. The implications of the research are shown so that the elderly can maintain fiber intake patterns and avoid the occurrence of constipation.
Prevalensi Hipertensi nasional berdasarkan Riskesdas 2013 sebesar 25,8%. Hipertensi yang tidak mendapat penanganan yang baik menyebabkan komplikasi seperti Stroke, Penyakit Jantung Koroner, Diabetes, Gagal Ginjal dan Kebutaan. Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang masalah hipertensi bagi lanjut usia mempengaruhi persepsi lansia dalam menanggapi masalah hipertensi yang diderita. Persepsi yang sering keliru tentang masalah hipertensi pada lanjut usia akan berdampak pada pada penerapan perawatan lanjut usia dengan penyakit hipertensi. Etnis budaya kota Palopo, sangat mallebbi' (istimewa) khususnya bagi pencinta budaya Palopo, salah satunya adalah penggunaan bahasa Tae’ dalam bahasa sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak edukasi hipertensi berbasis budaya Luwu terhadap pengetahuan penderita hipertensi di Posyandu Lansia wilayah kerja puskesmas Wara Utara Kota Palopo. Rancangan metode eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan metode One group pre and posttest design. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa berdasarkan uji analisa Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test dan diperoleh nilai p value 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai α = 0,05 yang artinya Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak atau terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi hipertensi. berbasis budaya luwu terhadap pengetahuan penderita hipertensi di posyandu lansia wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wara Utara Kota Palopo. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diterapkan dalam pelaksanaan edukasi kesehatan kepada masyarakat dengan menggunakan bahasa daerah untuk memudahkan pemahaman dan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap informasi yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan
Health services are any efforts that are held personal or together within an organization to maintain and improve health, prevent, and cure diseases and restore the health of individuals, families, groups, or society. Buntu Sarek villageis is one village in the village Latimojong district with the general state of the topografi. Buntu Sarek village is a plateau area and the hills and located at an altitude between 600-2500 m above sea level. Health services are always concentrated in urban areas alone and while it was preliminary study found the lack of utilization of health care services in the district Latimojong reasons long distances and can still be treated traditionally.The aims of the research to analyze the factors that influence decision of communities on the selection of a health care services in Latimojong district 2016. Descriptive analytic design with cross sectional study approach, the number of respondents as many as 61 heads of families who are assigned using method simple random sampling . Data collected by a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate and bivariate using Chi-Square statistical test.Conclusion of the research was prove there are significant influence on the distance of health care services selection (p= 0.006), there is a significant influence on the culture of health care services selection (p = 0.000) and there is significant effect on the information of health care services selection (p= 0.000). Suggestions in this research will wish governments and communities work together, care services in Latimojong district, so that people have the ability to reach quality health services and obtain health insurance.Key words : Distance, Culture, Information, Health Care Services Selection
Pulmonary tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by TB germs (mycobacterium tuberculosis). Health problems experienced by one family member can affect other family members, especially families who care for TB patients known as infectious diseases, so families are required to understand pulmonary TB as a whole. However, families who care for TB patients still lack understanding about recovery of the pulmonary TB patients. The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of health counseling on family knowledge about recovery of pulmonary TB patients in the working area of Puskesmas. The kind of research is quantitative using the pre-experimental design of one group pre-post test. The subject of research were families who treated TB patients in the working area of Puskesmas Burau. Interventions got by providing health counseling using leaflets. Data collection method used a questionnaire. The results of the study used paired samples T-test with a calculated value for the influence of health counseling on family knowledge about recovery of pulmonary TB patients obtained p-value = 0,000 smaller than the value of p-value = 0.05. From the analysis can be interpreted that Ha is accepted and H0 rejected or there was an effect of health counseling on family knowledge about recovery of pulmonary TB patients. The suggestion of research is suggested to the health center to keep improving the health counseling routines that have been conducted and to modify the counseling method so that TB patients and families are not saturated with the provision of information about pulmonary TB.
