AbstractHeart surgery is a complex procedure that has organic repercussions leading to a critical state. The development of clinical reasoning, recognition of signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and nursing interventions, results become critical. Identify nursing interventions carried out in patients undergoing myocardial revascularization by correlating them with the Nursing Interventions Classification. Descriptive study, retrospective, cross-sectional, quantitative approach, performed on Cardiac intensive care unit of a university hospital. The sample consisted of 65 medical records of patients submitted to myocardial revascularization. We used an instrument prepared by the author for identification and comparison of activities and interventions of Nursing Interventions Classification activities prescribed by the nurses of the cardiac unit. Data were analyzed according to the pertinent literature and presented in the form of frames and tables, using descriptive statistics. 72 identified nursing activities recorded by nurses. The correlation between the activities prescribed by the nurses and the activities proposed by the Nursing Interventions Classification has identified 11 interventions. The activities most often: 11 activities (n = 41; 56.9%) in the field of complex physiological K class (control of tissue perfusion); 9 activities (n = 19; 26.4%) in physiological basic domain, predominance of class B (control of exclusions). To a lesser extent security domains identified six activities (8.3%); five behavioral activities (6.9%), health system-an activity (1.4%). The correlation of the activities prescribed by the nurses of the unit investigated with the activities proposed by the Nursing Interventions Classification points to a feasible qualified care.
A qualidade de vida é um aspecto importante a ser avaliado, devendo ser mensurada com instrumentos validados e confiáveis Abstract Study a systematic literature review exploratory and qualitative instruments on quality of life of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. We found 445 articles, 15 of which contemplated the established criteria. The publications of the period comprised between the years 2002 to 2010. Among cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting was the most frequent, followed by valve surgery. The instrument for assessing quality of life was the most widely used Medical Outcomes 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey -SF-36 (43%), followed by the functional classification of the New York Heart Association -NYHA (22%) and score Duke (14%). The number of patients in the sample of studies analyzed ranged from 24 to 7321 patients. The studies improved quality of life of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Quality of life is an important aspect to be evaluated and should be measured with reliable and validated instruments.
