Abstract:In the present work, the simulation analysis of automobile energy-absorbing components was carried out using Finite Element (FE) method. The numerical simulations were carried out using the software LS-DYNA. Automobile energy-absorbing components usually were made of a metal thin walled tube. In the paper, several types of material properties were studied and compared. Results show that the material properties have influence to automobile energyabsorbing components crashworthiness.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
