Sažetak: U savremenom poslovanju koje karakteriše velike ekonomske, tehnološke i ekološke promene, značajnu ulogu ima cirkularna ekonomija (CE). Koncept cirkularne ekonomije kao paradigma održivog razvoja vodi računa o pitanju upravljanja otpadom, njegovom daljom reciklažom i stvarnjem nove vrednosti koje omnogućava preduzeću dalji nastavak životnog ciklusa proizvoda. Pod akterima u cirkularnoj ekonomiji podrazumevamo preduzeća, potrošače, građane i predstavnike nevladinih organizacija.
One of the leading problems in the world is related to the amount of waste generated by various humanactivities. Due to the extremely negative impact on the environment and the accompanying negative effects on aglobal and local level, a systematic approach has been taken to cope with this problem. In accordance with theAgenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 14, it is necessary tosignificantly reduce waste production by 2030 through various activities of prevention, reduction, recycling andreusing (UN A/RES/ 70/1, 2015).Depending on the population lifestyle and the type of industry in which waste is generated, the amount andcomposition of waste in a certain area are very different, and therefore the way of waste dealing also differs. Thefurniture industry produces significant amounts of waste, of which non-hazardous waste is generally handled inaccordance with the principles of the circular economy, while at the same time, hazardous waste must be adequatelydisposed of by appropriate operators. The paper presents the model of waste management in the furniture factory "Simpo" a.d., Vranje, Serbia as anexample of waste management in compliance with legal regulations and with the aim of reducing negative impactson the environment. In the mentioned factory, the largest share in the total waste amount in 2020 and 2021 hashazardous waste, namely waste sludge (69% in 2020 and 81% in 2021). The amount and composition of other typesof produced waste in 2020 and 2021 did not change significantly. The company "Simpo" a.d. manages waste in accordance with all legal acts of the Republic of Serbia and wastegenerated during the production process and other activities manages in a responsible and legal manner, so the riskand negative effects on the human health and the environment is reduced to a minimum level.

In this way, the quality of life reflected the degree of development, both in the field of improving the means of work and the management ability in work and social systems. From the perspective of the present, people and their associations are facing a new challenge, both in the age of knowledge and in the ever-changing technological changes and innovations, to ensure the survival and development of the system. The answer to this question is not easy because we are witnessing strong market dynamics and a large number of changes, which are reflected, both in the field of work and in the field of business of each organization. A measure of the ability to adapt to the changes that emerge and adapt to the challenges will be a condition for the success of individuals, organizations and society as a whole. Social entrepreneurship as a social science and economic and social development strategy has been occurring in the past few decades. The very emergence and development of social entrepreneurship, the fact that it is receiving increasing attention in social theory, as well as being increasingly accepted as an essential component of sustainable development strategies, can be taken as one of the reliable indicators of how modern capitalist societies are changing dynamically and how profound these changes are. Practice confirms that the degree of social entrepreneurship development in every society is directly proportional to the degree of the national economy development, the degree of human rights development, the degree of democracy development and all other achievements of modern civilization. That is why the state of social entrepreneurship can be treated as one of the reliable indicators of the overall political, economic and social situation in a society, or in other words the extent to which the political, economic and social system of a society is based on moral values. Entrepreneurship is a complex, multidimensional framework that emphasizes the individual, the environment, the organization and the entrepreneurial process itself. An entrepreneur is the initiator of a new business venture, that is, an individual who takes over a business venture to provide products and services to the market for profit. Entrepreneurship, whether it is external entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized businesses, corporate entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, youth entrepreneurship, women or rural entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in public institutions, involves the use of innovation as a tool for change, which brings added value to the entrepreneurs and beneficiaries of these change. Social entrepreneurship is an innovative way for people to solve various economic, educational, health and environmental problems in their community through their work by joining together and using sustainable business models. Social entrepreneurship is part of the social economy and thanks to it, social problems are solved through the use of entrepreneurial principles.

Stevia plant stands for one of the most important natural intense sweetener, since stevia glycosides are almost 400 times sweeter than sucrose. Extracts of stevia represents a powerful tool for reducing sugars in food and beverages, which can be acceptable substitutes to full sugar versions of this products. Regarding the data of Euromonitor international, new food products containing stevia grew 10% from 2016 to 2017. The biggest increment in stevia use was noticed in categories of snacks, juice drinks, dairy, carbonated soft drinks and confectionery. Barriocanal et al. (2008) highlighted that safety studies reported no negative side effects of stevia use. Can be expected that in recent future use of S. rebaudiana as sweetener would be extended to almost all the world's countries, regarding all discovered beneficial health effects.
