We found Gröbner-Shirshov basis for the braid semigroup B + n+1 . It gives a new algorithm for the solution of the word problem for the braid semigroup and so for the braid group.
Abstract. Maps preserving certain algebraic properties of elements are often studied in Functional Analysis and Linear Algebra. The goal of this paper is to discuss the relationships among these problems from the ring-theoretic point of view.
The notion of quasi-polynomials is very important in the theory of functional identities. For example, results on quasi-polynomials were tools in the solution of long-standing Herstein's Lie map conjectures. In this paper, we show that functional identities involving quasi-polynomial of degree one have only standard solutions on d-free sets.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
