The treatment of ALL causes a significant increase in the number of dental anomalies. Their GBI and VPI were also elevated. Changes in salivary glands during treatment did not affect saliva flow permanently. Follow-up of these patients by an oral health team is recommended.
We report that a selective GRP receptor antagonist attenuates the release of proinflammatory cytokines in vitro and in vivo and improves survival in "established" sepsis. These are consistent with the involvement of a new inflammatory pathway relevant to the development of sepsis.
Esophagitis is the principle dose-limiting toxicity of weekly paclitaxel and thoracic radiation in the outpatient setting. A phase II trial using concurrent radiation and paclitaxel at the MTD of 60 mg/m2/wk is underway.
