The discomfort of work environment which is caused by temperature will affect a worker to complete his or her job. For lack of attention to work place adjusment, position, and work equipment will certanly cause problems dealing with occupational desease. Job that have a need of accuracy without unequal to lighting, have the impact to eye fatigue. This study was aimed to find out the relationship of attitude to work, lighting, and temperature towards work fatigue and eye fatigue at tailors in Kampung Solor Kupang 2017. The type of this research was an analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The number of population was 34 tailors with the total sample 34 tailors who spread in 16 of stitch. In analising the data, the researcher used chi square with significant correlation to work fatigue, p value =0,011. Work attitude had significant correlation to eye fatigue with p value=0,037, lighting had no significant correlation to work fatigue with p value=0,683, lighting had correlation with eye fatigue p value =0,045, temperature had significant relation to work fatigue by p value=0,023 and it had no correlation to eye fatigue by p value =0,106.
Background: Knowledge and stigma are the factors that determine the success of TB control. The people of East Nusa Tenggara still rely heavily on the support of God's servants in addressing health issues. God's servant is someone who is believed to have the gift of healing through prayer to the Lord Jesus. Aim: This study aimed to reveal God’s servants’ knowledge on and stigma to TB.Methods: This study is a descriptive quantitative study, in which the research aims to perceive God’s servants’ knowledge and stigma to TB in 2 community health centers with the most TB cases in Kupang. The population of the study was God’s servants in three areas of coverage of community health centers with the most TB cases. The sample of the study was the entire population (Total sampling) as many as 120 people. Data were collected through questionnaires and using mid-point score.Results: The results showed that the knowledge related to transmission, treatment, and prevention of Tuberculosis was low, amounted to 76%, similar to the stigma to TB that was amounted to 58%. God's servants still held the stigma that TB is a curse and disgraceful disease and they were unwilling to share with tuberculosis patients.Conclusion: God’s servants’ knowledge related to TB is low. As for stigma, even though mostly is low, there are still many God’s servants who give stigma to TB disease. Since God’s servant is a potential figure believed by some people to have the gift of healing, their knowledge and stigma needs to be improved in order to provide true information and support for TB patients.
Manual material handling activity is a job related to lifting, moving, pulling, and holding goods that rely on human labor, includes loading and unloading goods at the Labor of Tenau Kupang. This research aimed to know to determine the relationship between age, smoking habit, manual material handling activity, and temperature of the environment with complaints of musculoskeletal disorders and work fatigue of the labor at Tenau Kupang Harbour. The kind of research was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The Population of this research is 36 people. The taking of the sample was done by a total sampling method that is 36 people. The test used was the Chi-square test. The results of the research showed that 21 people (58,3%) suffer from musculoskeletal disorders and 19 people (52,8%) suffer from work fatigue. The results showed that as many as 29 people (80.6%) experienced MSDs complaints and as many as 25 people (69.4%) experienced work fatigue. The analysis showed that there was no relationship between age and smoking habits with MSDs complaints, while the risk level of MMH and ambient temperature had a relationship with MSDs complaints. There is no relationship between age, smoking habits, the level of risk of MMH with work fatigue, while ambient temperature has a significant relationship with work fatigue. Therefore, it is advisable for workers to stretch their muscles during breaks so as to reduce MSDs complaints. Meanwhile, the workers cooperative union needs to provide drinking water facilities in order to reduce worker dehydration.
This research is a correlational study using a quantitative approach. This study correlates variables of moral development with prosocial behavior. Moral development is a development that related to one's ability to judge what should be done and not done in accordance with the norms that develop in society and prosocial behavior is behavior that sharing, helping, honest, generous and behavior considering the rights and welfare of others. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between moral development and prosocial behavior in late adolescents in the Oesapa Village of Kupang. This study involved 360 late adolescents. The research sampling technique uses random sampling techniques. Hypothesis testing uses Pearson product-moment correlation to examine the relationship of variables and their level of significance, furthermore, the results of the analysis obtained are correlation coefficients -0.054 with significance showing results of 0.303 (p> 0.05) which means there is no relationship between moral development and prosocial behavior in adolescents finally in Oesapa Village, Kupang.
