Urinary incontinence (UI) is defined as the inability to voluntarily retain urine. With a high prevalence, up to 25% in those under 50 years of age, and a great impact on the affected person, to the point of modifying their lifestyle and social relationships. Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is the most prevalent in women, which is why it is the study objective of this review. Since the evidence does not show great differences between the different surgical techniques, the objective of this review is to find all the available evidence that compares the two main surgical techniques in terms of efficacy in terms of quality of life. josha.org
