En este periodo escolar nos vimos forzados debido a la epidemia de coronavirus a aislarnos en nuestros domicilios, modificación que afectó de forma directa y repentina al proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje en todos los niveles educativos. Para encarar esta situación y continuar con el aprendizaje en el periodo escolar, surgieron iniciativas nacionales e internacionales que proponían hacer uso de las TIC´S, la Universidad Veracruzana no es ajena a este proceso. Los docentes de todas las áreas se encuentran tratando de proporcionar materiales de trabajo adecuado para afrontar esta contingencia, todo esto de forma virtual, es decir a distancia. En este trabajo se expone la percepción de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Estadística e Informática en relación con la cuarentena que están viviendo a causa de COVID-19 para lo cual se realizó una encuesta para conocer su opinión respecto al proceso de enseñanza virtual y todo lo que con ello conlleva. In this school period we were forced due to the coronavirus epidemic to isolate ourselves in our homes, a modification that directly and suddenly affected the teaching-learning process at all educational levels. To face this situation and continue learning in the school period, national and international initiatives emerged that proposed to make use of ICTs, the Veracruzana University is no stranger to this process. Teachers from all areas are trying to provide adequate work materials to deal with this contingency, all this remotely, that is, from a distance. In this work, the perspective of the students of the Faculty of Statistics and Informatics in relation to the quarantine they are living because of COVID-19 is exposed, for which a survey was conducted to find out their opinion regarding the virtual teaching process and everything what that entails.
