under rainfed conditions. A total of nine treatments were tried in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The treatments comprise of RDF + compost 10 t ha -1 , RDF + 50 % NK + compost 10 t ha -1 , STCR based NPK + compost 10 t ha -1 , STL based NPK + compost 10 t ha -1 , RDF through enriched compost, RDF + 50% NK through enriched compost, STCR based through enriched compost, STL based through enriched compost, with a control. The results revealed that application of STCR based NPK and compost 10 t ha -1 for targeted yield 40 q ha -1 recorded a highest grain yield (3238.00 kg ha -1 ) and straw yield (8926.00 kg ha -1 ). Similarly higher uptake was recorded in STCR based NPK + compost 10 t ha -1 both in grain and straw. The highest partial factor productivity was recorded in T 2 which receive NPK + 50 % NK + compost 10 t ha -1 .How to cite this article : Saraswathi, Shetty, Y. Vishawanath, Kumar, M. The Goal of this study was to identify Senna auriculata's bioactive chemical as well as it's over all phytochemical composition, in vitro antibacterial, antifungal, and phytochemical screening properties. Since ancient times people have employed therapeutic plants, often known as medicinal herbs, in traditional medicinal procedure. Plant produce various chemical components and defence against various insect and cure illnesses. Senna auriculata has been employed in a variety of medical procedure. It has number of advantage and therapeutic qualities. Senna auriculata has high medicinal properties, making it popular for home remedies. Now researchers are interested towards the herbal plants because of their high medicinal properties. Peoples also taking home remedies using the herbal product and some homemade preparation to cure cold and cough as a initial medicine. Phytochemicals research revealed that leaf extract of S. auriculata contains alkaloid, sugars, flavonoids, cardiac glycosides, phenols, protein, saponins and terpenoids. Methanol extract showed the presence of much more phyto constituents than others solvents. Aqueous and petroleum ether extract revealed fewer phytochemicals to be present, Our Investigations will use medicinal leaves as a starting point and our goal is to find a bioactive molecule that has a stronger antimicrobial action against bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli.
A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Field unit, College of Agriculture, Shivamogga during kharif 2015-2016 and 2016-17 on sandy loamy soils to evaluate performance of promising Greengram varieties (Vigna radiate (L.) Wilczek) as influenced by different dates of sowing under rain fed situation in Southern Transitional Zone of Karnataka. Among three different varieties KKM-3 gave significantly higher grain yield (806.41 kg ha -1 ) and haulm yield (3206.14 kg ha -1 ) than PDM 84-178 (675.71 kg ha -1 and 2698.55 kg ha -1 , respectively) and SBM-1 (610.81 kg ha -1 and 2462.74 kg ha -1 , respectively) (Table 1). Variety KKM-3 showed per cent increase in grain and straw yield over variety PDM 84-178 (16.20% and 15.83%, respectively) and SBM-1 (24.25% and 23.18%, respectively). Among different dates of sowing 15 th July recorded significantly higher grain and straw yield (1252.86 kg ha -1 and 4912.04 kg ha -1 , respectively) followed by sowing KKM-3 on 30 th of July (878.82 kg ha -1 and 3344.05 kg ha -1 , respectively) and it was found on par with PDM 84-178 sown on 15 th of July (869.92 kg ha -1 and 3405.49 kg ha -1 , respectively) compared to variety SBM-1 on 15 th July (774.98 kg ha -1 and 3033.19 kg ha -1 , respectively) Among the interactions significant difference was noticed between date of sowing and variety with respect to yield components, sowing of variety KKM-3 sown on July 15 th recorded significantly higher number of clusters plant -1 , numbers of pods plant, numbers of seeds per pod (13.59, 53.03 and 11.10, respectively) compared to late sowing variety PDM 84-178 during August 30 th (6.96, 31.31 and 8.56, respectively) and late sowing variety SBM-1 on August 30 th (4.75, 17.57 and 8.03, respectively).
