ricevuto il 50ttobre 1992; approvato il 30 Marzo 1993) Summary. --An extended treatment for the analysis of the two-state positron trapping model employing the Hamiltonian formulation is developed, the case of more than one kind of defects being also valid. The formalism is applied when the initial positron population decays into three states: bulk, vacancy-type defects and another kind of defects as vacancy clusters, dislocations or jogs. This description is consistent with common trapping-model results available but, in particular, Hamilton's formalism gives a basis for the extraction of physical information from the non-stationary components of the solutions. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
