This research aimed to: (1) Determine the level of knowledge and implementation of the respondents' beekeepers of good beekeeping practices, (2) Determine the correlation between the level of knowledge of the respondents' beekeepers of good beekeeping practices and the studied independent variables, (3) Determine the correlation between the level of implementation of the respondents' beekeepers of good beekeeping practices and the studied independent variables. Data were collected using questionnaire form prepared for this purpose, from a Sample of 111 beekeepers. Frequencies, percentage, and Spearman rank order correlation coefficient were used for data presentation and analysis. The results showed that the level of knowledge of the respondents was high in four of the processes related to good practices in beekeeping, namely: visiting the hive, transferring the hives, joining the hives, and artificial fertilization with rates of 65.4%, 42.3%, 35.2%, 33.3% respectively. It also came to clear that the level of implementation of the respondents was high in one of the operations of good practices in beekeeping, which is visiting the hive by 36.0%, while their level of implementation was non-existent in four other operations, namely: industrial shunting, joining the cells, and feeding the colonies, and cell migration at rates of 49.5%, 39.6%, 35.1%, 33.3%, respectively. It came out that there is a positive significant correlation at 0.01 level between the knowledge level of the respondents about good practices of beekeeping and two variables: the use of information sources, and benefit from information sources, and a negative significant correlation at 0.05level between the respondents' knowledge level and average cell production. It came to light that there is a positive significant correlation between the level of respondents' implementation of good beekeeping practices, and two variables: use of information sources, benefit from information sources, and the number of years of experience, and a negative significant correlation at 0.05 level between the overall implementation level and average cell yield.
Background: Plantar fasciopathy is the most common cause of plantar heel pain. No enough evidence in literature strongly supports the effectiveness of any specific treatment for such conditions. Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of a modified surgical technique for endoscopic release of plantar fascia. Patients and methods:A total of 29 feet in 25 patients with plantar fasciopathy for at least one year and resistant for at least two modalities of conservative treatment for six months were involved in this prospective study. All patients had been diagnosed clinically and the study was carried at the Department of Orthopedics,
The main objective of this research is to assess knowledge level of Farmers of extension recommendations at banana production, identify the problems of production banana from the point of growers' view and their proposals to overcome it. In order to achieve the above objectives, a survey was carried out on 285 respondents in three villages in Luxor governorate, Egypt; a questionnaire form was prepared and distributed among all respondents. The researchers followed up the process of data collection and were able to obtain responses from respondents in the governorate. Percentages, frequency used for data processing and analyses. The results of field research indicated that the respondents had high knowledge about the processes of cultivation and securitization methods (58.2%, 56.8%), respectively, while the results showed that the respondents had a medium level of knowledge about the processes of irrigating the banana crop, the appropriate planting date, taro, preparing the land for agriculture, integrated pest and disease control, and bagging at rates 56.5%, 51.2%, 50.5%, 47.7, 42.1%, 33.3%, respectively, while the farmers surveyed had Low level of knowledge about banana crop fertilization, hoeing, breeding and selection, and appropriate planting distances, with percentages of 85.3%, 67.7%, 63.9%, 45.3% respectively; the most reliable sources of the respondents are the agricultural guide in the village, family, relatives, friends, researchers at agricultural research stations, dealers of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers, then daily newspapers, magazines and extension bulletins; the most important sources that the interviewed farmers benefit from in obtaining information on banana production, respectively, are as follows: the agricultural guide in the village, family, relatives and friends, researchers at agricultural research stations, the supervisor of the agricultural cooperative association, and traders of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers and less than half of the farmers surveyed (49.1%) have a medium level of knowledge of the extension recommendations for banana production.
This research aimed at determine the degree quality of life from the point of view of the respondents in the countryside Sohag Governorate, And the study of the correlation between the degree quality of life from the point of view of the respondents and their independent variables studied, As well as identifying the obstacles they face in achieving a good life from their point of view and their proposals to overcome these obstacles. The field research was conducted on a simple random sample of 380 respondents from the heads of families in three villages in three centers in Sohag Governorate, The degree of quality of life was determined from the perspective of the respondents through six dimensions: (1) The social dimension, which was measured by three indicators (public health and food, family stability and family relations, and social solidarity), (2) The economic dimension, which was measured through three indicators (income and standard of living, economic empowerment, and housing status), (3) The political dimension, which was measured through three indicators (political participation, enjoyment of freedoms and civil rights, social justice and self-determination), (4) The psychological dimension, which was measured through three indicators (community affiliation, occupational satisfaction, and mental health), (5) The environmental dimension, which was measured through two indicators (environmental health and environmental behavior), (6) The service dimension, The data was collected using a personal interview questionnaire during the months of September and October 2022, In analyzing the data and presenting the results, it relied on the tabular presentation of frequencies, percentages, and weighted average, and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, using the SPSS. The results showed: oThe indicators of public health, income and standard of living, economic empowerment, housing status, political participation, enjoyment of freedoms and civil rights, social justice and self-determination, occupational satisfaction, mental health, and environmental health were of medium quality, between rates of 49.7٪, 46.1٪, 52.9٪, 63.9٪, 54.7٪, 67.9٪, 50.8٪, 48.4٪, 55.0٪, and 82.6٪ of the respondents, respectively, while the indicators of family stability, family relations, and solidarity were Social, community affiliation, environmental behavior, and the service dimension were good, with rates of 68. 4٪, 51.1٪, 82.1٪, 57.1٪, and 48.9٪, respectively.
