The article considers the impact of new integrated technologies (mulching, drip irrigation, use of wooden sticks for each plant, use of new biofertilizers in the cultivation of solanaceous vegetable crops (tomato, pepper, eggplant) in regions with a short growing season. The study of new technologies in the cultivation of solanaceae crops in regions of short vegetation period shows the effectiveness of the impact of these technologies on the biological characteristics, economic-valuable and qualitative indicators. New technologies contributed to early maturity, increased yield and quality of fruits, resistance to diseases and pests. New technologies can be effectively implemented in the republic and similar regions of the globe.
The article considers the creation of miniature varieties of nightshade crops. For breeding purposes, wild species and relatives of solanaceous crops were used. We have created miniature varieties of tomato - Emmy, hot pepper - Bouquet, eggplant - Solsis, physalis - Lady, nightshade - Black Karaleva. New varieties can be effectively introduced in the republic and similar regions of the globe.
The information on results of variety testing of new tomato varieties of local breeding by main economically valuable features under the conditions of cultivation in mountain regions of Armenia are presented in the article. The variety test results show that new varieties of tomato Araqel, Eva, Anahit 351, Aragatsi 563, Renaissance exceeded standard variety Lia by yield indicator, which varied from 730 to 1000 centner per hectare. As result of variety test all new varieties of tomato Araqel, Eva, Anahit 351, Aragatsi 563, Renaissance are selected for wide cultivation in mountain regions of Armenia.
The article considers the testing of the fertilizer “Multibar” for biological, agronomic properties and biochemical characteristics of fruits of tomato varieties for fresh consumption - Noy, for canning - Renaissance, cherry type - Rubin in three options - 1. Without treatment (control), 2. Treatment with ammonium nitrate, 3. Processing “Multibar”. The results of the test showed that the use of the new fertilizer “Multibar” provided for an increase in crop efficiency and fruit quality. The new fertilizer “Multibar” can be effectively introduced in the republic and similar regions of the globe.
