High-field dark conduction in (DC discharged) plasma-polymerised thiophene thin films is reported. A contact-limited Schottky mechanism is found to predominate at fields above 3*105 V cm-1. The dominance of the Schottky mechanism is confirmed by employing dissimilar-electrode configurations. The metal-polymer interface barrier heights calculated are 1.22 eV for Al, 1.03 eV for Cu and 0.879 eV for Au.
A reanalysis of the microwave spectrum of chlorine dioxide, taking into account the effects of centrifugal distortion, has been carried out. When the centrifugal distortion constants are forced to be consistent with the harmonic vibrational frequencies obtained from the visible spectrum, 18 rotational transitions of Cj3 5 0 2 are fitted with a standard deviation of 2.5 Me.The rotational and force constants obtained are A = 52079.5±0.8 Me, B=9952.23±0.15 Me, C= 8333.99±0.13 Me, h=7.0175±0.OO3X105 dyn em-I, fa/d o 2 =0.6514±0.002X10 5 dyn em-I, ha/do= 0.OO64±0.OOO8X 10 5 dyn em-I and hd= -0.1699±0.003X 10 5 dyn em-I. The force constants were used to calculate the distortion shifts for the Cj3 7 0 2 molecule and the rigid-rotor frequencies for 7 rotational transitions of CI 37 0 2 were fitted with the rotational constants.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
