The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 2,143 new measurements from 709 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons and the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as supersymmetric particles, heavy bosons, axions, dark photons, etc. Particle properties and search limits are listed in Summary Tables. We give numerous tables, figures, formulae, and reviews of topics such as Higgs Boson Physics, Supersymmetry, Grand Unified Theories, Neutrino Mixing, Dark Energy, Dark Matter, Cosmology, Particle Detectors, Colliders, Probability and Statistics. Among the 120 reviews are many that are new or heavily revised, including a new review on Machine Learning, and one on Spectroscopy of Light Meson Resonances. The Review is divided into two volumes. Volume 1 includes the Summary Tables and 97 review articles. Volume 2 consists of the Particle Listings and contains also 23 reviews that address specific aspects of the data presented in the Listings. The complete Review (both volumes) is published online on the website of the Particle Data Group (pdg.lbl.gov) and in a journal. Volume 1 is available in print as the PDG Book. A Particle Physics Booklet with the Summary Tables and essential tables, figures, and equations from selected review articles is available in print, as a web version optimized for use on phones, and as an Android app.

AbstractWe describe how to calculate the parton distributions f a (x, k 2 t , µ 2 ), unintegrated over the parton transverse momentum k t , from auxiliary functions h a (x, k 2 t ), which satisfy single-scale evolution equations. The formalism embodies both DGLAP and BFKL contributions, and accounts for the angular ordering which comes from coherence effects in gluon emission. We check that the unintegrated distributions give the measured values of the deep inelastic structure function F 2 (x, Q 2 ).
We present a formalism for high energy soft processes, mediated by Pomerons, which embodies pion-loop insertions in the Pomeron trajectory, rescattering effects via a twochannel eikonal and high-mass diffractive dissociation. It describes all the main features of the data throughout the ISR to Tevatron energy interval. We give predictions for soft diffractive phenomena at the LHC energy, and we calculate the different survival probabilities of rapidity gaps which occur in various diffractive processes.
We present a study of the central exclusive production (CEP) of meson pairs 1 , M M , at sufficiently high invariant mass that a perturbative QCD formalism is applicable. Within this framework, M M production proceeds via the gg → M M hard scattering sub-process, which can be calculated within the hard exclusive formalism. We present explicit calculations for the gg → M M helicity amplitudes for different meson states and, using these, show results for meson pair CEP in the perturbative regime. a KRYSTHAL collaboration b speaker
