Character education is a habit. The habit of doing good, habituation of respecting others, habituation of being honest, habituation not to be lazy, habituation of respecting time, and so on. All of that must be trained seriously and proportionately in order to achieve the ideal form and strength. In the Al-Qur ‟an Surat Luqman verses 12-19 there is character education that can be used as an example for parents and educators on how to instill good character in childrenThis research is a library research or library research. The data is obtained through literature sources (Libarary Research), namely literature review through literature. The approach used in analyzing this research used the semantic approach of Toshihiko Izutsu, namely word relational analysis and historical analysis. Based on the research conducted, it was found that there are conclusions regarding the character values contained in the Al-Qur ‟an Surat Luqman verses 12-19, namely: First, education of faith; second, worship education; third, moral education in the family; fourth, moral education in the environment; and lastly, personality education that every human being must have.Keyword: Character Education, Surah Luqman
