The authors report a case of cervical chondroma presenting with a syndrome of spinal cord compression in a 76-year-old woman. Total surgical removal of the lesion was followed by partial neurological recovery. Chondromas of the vertebral column are rarely reported in the literature.
The intradural herniated disc is a rare complication of disc herniation. A study of the literature shows that this location is often responsible for severe neurological deficit with loss of sphincter control and a complete block shown on the myelogram. We report three cases to demonstrate the radioclinical interpretation of intradural herniated disc and the possibility of definite and misleading symptoms.
The authors report 6 cases of thoracic disk herniations in patients with Scheuermann’s disease. They underline the relationship between the neurological symptomatology and Scheuermann’s disease by the herniation and evolution in their treatment by a new surgical approach.
Repeat computed tomography has enabled us to confirm the concept of delayed hematomas. With this in mind we report two cases of alternating, post-traumatic intracranial hematomas; confirming also the role of tamponade after surgical removal of an intracranial hematoma.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
