The results of experiments on boiling off a coolant in the assembly of rods ADELA-2 and ALADIN test facility were considered in the article. During the work, the ADELA-2 and ALADIN test facilities were simulated using the KORSAR/GP and SOCRAT/V1 thermal-hydraulic codes. The effect of the degree of spatial discretization on the calculation results was estimated and it was shown that the results of the calculated data are in acceptably good accordance with the experimental data. The results obtained demonstrate insignificant errors in determining the time of uncovering the rods and reaching the maximum temperature. The computer code’s results in most cases are more conservative than experimental. The effect of earlier uncovering of less powerful fuel assemblies in ALADIN experiment is detected. It is confirmed by the results of calculations. This effect should be taken into attention when analyzing safety in emergency modes with spent fuel pool heat removal system failure.
The OECD is a unique forum where the governments of 36 democracies work together to address the economic, social and environmental challenges of globalisation. The OECD is also at the forefront of efforts to understand and to help governments respond to new developments and concerns, such as corporate governance, the information economy and the challenges of an ageing population. The Organisation provides a setting where governments can compare policy experiences, seek answers to common problems, identify good practice and work to co-ordinate domestic and international policies.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
