Two new species of the genus Trichodina Ehrenberg, 1838, T. silondiata sp. nov. and T. pangasi sp. nov. from the gills of freshwater fish Silonia silondia (Hamilton 1822) and Pangasius pangasius (Hamilton-Buchanan) respectively from the river Ganges of West Bengal are described here. Wet smears of gills and skins were prepared in the field, air dried and impregnated with Klein's dry silver method. In case of S. silondia (Hamilton 1822) 24 out of 146 host fishes were parasitized on the gills. Infestation rate in case of P. pangasius (Hamilton-Buchanan) was not significant. From a total of 86 examined host fish, only seven were parasitized on the gills. The mean diameters of the body of the specimens of T. silondiata sp. nov. and T. pangasi sp. nov. were 32.7-60.6 (46.4 ± 6.3) μm and 38.9-54.1 (44.9 ± 3.0) μm respectively. Taxonomic and morphometric data for these ectoparasitic trichodinids based on wet silver nitrate impregnated specimens are presented.
We construct Sobolev-Kuelbs-Steadman spaces on R ∞ which contains Sobolev spaces as dense embedding. We have seen sequence of weak solution of Sobolev spaces are convergence strongly in Sobolev-Kuelbs-Steadman space. Finally we have shown the Sobolev space through Bessel Potential is densely contained in Sobolev-Kuelbs-Steadman spaces.

Anabas testudineus (Bloch) is a popular eatable fresh water fish. The fishes infested with helmnthic infection may be died off and the production may be decreased. Besides, the parasites could pass through man and other animals. The occurrence of parasites and their prevalence and intensity in the fish was studied from March, 2012 to February, 2013 in Hasila, Kumri and Urpad wetlands of Goalpara district of Assam. Three trematodes and six nematodes were collected from 309 out of 547 host fish. The trematodes were identified as Asymphylodora kedarai, Brahamputratrema sp., Neopodocotyl sp. and the nematodes were Camallanus anabantis, C.trichuris, C.intestinalus, Onchocamallanus sp., Parascarophis sp, and Cosmoxynemoid nandusi.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
