activating charged particles. Furthermore, as far as charged particle activation analysis is concerned, our experimental data indicate that the detection limit for oxygen in silicon using the lsO(a, pn)18F reaction can be increased by a factor of 10. This would result in the possibility of nondestructive analyses with a practical detection limit of 5-10 ppb by weight.
