Selective Adsorbents Enhancing Exhaust Air Treatment for the Food-Processing IndustryMethods and criteria for the evaluation and characterization of specific acting adsorbents are introduced. The results of the investigation are used to verify a new multivariate cluster analysis tool. Hence, in contrast to common screening procedures, the expenditure of time and effort for choosing optimized adsorbents can be minimized. The importance of the adsorption of water vapor and the possibilities to influence the adsorbents by modifications are presented. Finally, the economic and technical advantages of adsorption for exhaust air treatment within the food-processing industry are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
