Intraoperative findings suggest that the thoracic disc herniation in the current case was the probable cause of the ventral dural defect. Surgical reconstruction using double fascial graft under careful spinal cord monitoring resulted in a satisfactory neurologic recovery.

Chordomas are rare neoplasms arising from notochordal remnants found predominantly in the clivus and the sacrococcygeal regions. Most clivus chordomas show extradural extension and bone destruction. Such a tumour can rarely be intradural. This report is concerned with the radiological findings in prepontine intradural chordoma.

Papillary endothelial hyperplasia (PEH) is considered a form of endothelial proliferation rather than a true neoplasm and is usually located in the skin or subcutis. We report a case of intracranial PEH that occurred after surgery for glioma and subsequent radiosurgery. CT and MR revealed an enhancing extra-axial mass located left posterolateral to the brainstem. Intracranial PEH is rare; to our knowledge, development of an intracranial PEH after surgery and radiosurgery has not been previously reported.

Acknowledging the realm of imaging manifestations and the underlying mechanism of HSCT will enhance diagnostic accuracy and optimize treatment decisions.
