Here, C is concentration [mol/m 3 ], α is absorption coefficient [m 2 /mol], L is optical path length [m], I 0 is incident light intensity, I 1 is transmitted light intensity and A λ is absorbance, respectively. Measurement accuracy of absorption analysis is in general determined by the detection accuracy of microscopic change of light intensity under strong light irradiation, where the SNR is given by the equation (2),
In this paper, we report a CMOS image sensor (CIS) with dual pixel reset voltage and high sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) light for high SNR UV light absorption spectral imaging. The dual pixel reset voltage was introduced in order to improve the accuracy of absorption imaging by suppressing the fixed pattern noise due to the threshold voltage (Vth) variation. The developed CIS exhibited 71 dB SNR, 15 Me− full well capacity and high quantum efficiency to UV light. As an application of the developed CIS, the diffusion of sub-ppm concentration ozonated water into ultrapure water (UPW) was successfully visualized under the 254 nm light waveband.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
