Objective:The main objectives of our study include classification, analysis and assessment of all the post-operative drugs present of our study. Methods:The current project being a retrospective drug utilization review 50 prescriptions from the post-surgical wards of obstetrics-gynaecology and surgical gastroenterology departments were collected and analysed.Results: All the data collected was classified, analysed and assessed based on the various factors and the results were people between the age group of 41-50 have undergone more number of surgeries 22%. Only 32% of all the prescriptions were found to have poly pharmacy, classification of all the prescribed drugs shows that the anti biotics were prescribed in the maximum number i.e. 152doses. Parenteral type of formulation was given in high number of doses up to 506 doses. Defined daily doses of all the W. H. O essential drug list medications were done. W. H. O prescribing indicators for all the drugs in our study was also calculated. Conclusion:Our study concludes that the antibiotic drug therapy was used as prophylaxis to prevent the bacterial infection.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a progressive systemic autoimmune disease. The untreated RA can lead to joint damage and loss of function. The major complications include. The main aim and objectives of our work are to evaluate the respondent's quality of life using a standard questionnaire, to assess the knowledge over the disease condition, to report the number of unreported cases of rheumatoid arthritis, to educate and counsel individual respondent. A cross-sectional study was conducted in a population of 1650 and 38 respondents with rheumatoid arthritis positive were obtained. Among the 38 respondents, we have noticed 7 unreported cases of rheumatoid arthritis. It was confirmed by the algorithm of the World health organization. All the 38 respondents were made to answer the 36 questions as per the protocol and the data were recorded. Later the score was calculated using a software-online SF-36 calculator. In our study it was found that females were suffering more than males and experiencing a low quality of life, whereas the extra-articular manifestations were more reported in males, and the respondents on regular medication were doing better and 7 respondents were unaware of having rheumatoid arthritis.32 respondents were unaware of the concept that the physical illness affects the mental health. Finally, all the patients were counseled as per the objectives of our study. Thus our study brings to notice about the burden of rheumatoid arthritis in India, need to provide the necessary knowledge about the disease state and the self-assessment of the quality of life.
Objectives: The presence of erythrocytes in the urine is called Hematuria. When it is visible to the patient it is termed as gross hematuria. The main objectives of our study are to determine the prevalence of gross hematuria. To counsel and educate the subjects on the associated risk factors and the further consequences of the same. Materials and methods: 300 participants were enquired about the related information in the The evaluation sheet or the questionnaire. questionnaire is mainly based on the symptoms of the abnormality and the medical history of the individual. According to the data collected we have found 29 hematuria cases. They were further analyzed and results were generated. Results: The percentage prevalence in our study was found to be 9.66%. In our survey hematuria among males and females is in the ratio of 0.82:1.2. Out of 9.66% of hematuria positive cases, only about 3.66 % of subjects were treated or under treatment, remaining 6% of subjects were untreated. 44.82% of the total subjects as per analysis were found to be between 60-70kgs of body weight. About 55.17% of the participants were within the age group of 40-50 years. Type 2 Diabetes mellitus and renal calculi were found to be the most significant risk factors for hematuria affecting 31.035% and 17.24% of subjects respectively. It is important to educate the population regarding the effects, Conclusion: symptoms, control measures and importance of treatment for hematuria. Screening with proper diagnostic tool and prevention programs are therefore recommended.
