The purpose of this review is providing a complete and updated review on morphology, the active constituents of different parts of M. lutea such as sterols, triterpenoids, phenylpropanoid glycosides and flavonoids and their antioxidant, antiprotozoal, antiviral, antimicrobial effects and anticancer activities.
