The authors invested efforts to develop a procedure of estimating the airborne salt level on the basis of available meteorological information. In this study, we analyzed wind direction and speed data provided by the Meteorological Observatory in Sanin to estimate the airborne salt level and compare with the monitoring data for the airborne salt level over 2 years in order to evaluate the estimation precision of the proposed method. The estimation results showed reasonable agreement with the measured airborne salt level. It is confirmed that the proposed concise evaluation procedure based on only wind direction and speed information is useful as estimation method of airborne salt level.

The authors view a document as a multi modal media in the sense that it presents information by using fisures and/or images as well as text. By showing examples of media conversion and media integration, the authors discuss the essential processing techniques of media information, especially document media information. First, media conversion is briejlg addressed by an example of converting a graph diagram in a document to either an alternative graph diagram or a table. The main topic is the generation of a manual of a mechanical parts assembling an example of media integration in a document. Thereby, necessasy input information is prsented for generating the manual.

PACS. 61.30.Cz -Theory and models of liquid crystal structure.Abstract. -We describe a construction procedure for polycontinuous structures, giving generalisations of bicontinuous morphologies to more than two equivalent, continuous and interwoven sub-volumes. The construction gives helical windings of disjoint graphs on triply periodic hyperbolic surfaces, whose universal cover in the hyperbolic plane consists of packed, parallel trees. The simplest tri-, quadra-and octa-continuous morphologies consist of three (8, 3) − c, four (10, 3) − a and eight (10, 3) − a interwoven networks, respectively. The quadraand octa-continuous cases are chiral. A novel chiral bicontinuous structure is also derived, closely related to the well-known cubic gyroid mesophase. EUROPHYSICS LETTERS
