Tourism activities affect the environment of different destinations, which is influenced by different tourists' consumption. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between inbound tourist expenditures and three main environmental dimensions, which are carbon dioxide emission from transport, energy demand, and water usage, in Thailand. This paper employs Vector Autoregressive (VAR) models to determine the relationship of variables.

The data, focusing on the supply of pineapple for industrial processing in Thailand during the period from 2011-2020, was acquired. The data indicated that productivity had tended to decrease during the period between 2011-2015 due to phenomena of drought and a reduction in prices, while increasing trends were observed during the years between 2016 - 2019. In the year 2020, Thailand was the biggest exporter of canned pineapple in the world, and the export value was approximately 345 million U.S. dollars. During the process, the generated by-products were peels, cores, stems, and crowns at approximately 35.5, 14.7, 4.6, and 4.3%, respectively. Based on the annual production of 1,689,884 tons, the total by-products from pineapple processing would generate 993,402.4 tons, which could be divided into peels, cores, stems, and crowns at 596,713.8, 247,089.9, 773,20.7, and 722,78.0 tons, respectively. Valorization of by-product for health applications such as pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and health food has been reviewed.

The objective of this research is to examine the factors that affect tourism investment in the CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand). This study employs panel data as quarterly data from 2000 - 2019. Data analysis employs the panel unit root test estimated by fixed effect estimation. The results revealed that the Minimum Loan Rate factor has a negative effect on tourism investment while the number of international tourists and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) positively affect tourism investment. Therefore, in each CLMVT country, the relevant authorities should determine a suitable Minimum Loan Rate (MLR), target tourism promotion as a single region and pursue policies that enhance the economy. Such policy should support employment in the tourism sector and enhance the economic system of the CLMVT countries.

This study investigates the impact of the Lao macroeconomic factors of real gross domestic product, the Openness Index, and the exchange rate between the Thai and Lao currencies on the Lao import value of agricultural processed products from Thailand. Using product classifications and data from the International Trade Centre, this research examined the total import value (IM) and value of the imported product categories of sugar (HS17), flour (HS19), miscellaneous edible preparations (HS21), beverages (HS22), and animal fodder (HS23) (as dependent variables). The analysis employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag approach, and the Vector Error Correction Model was applied to analyze the level relationship and test causal relationships among variables by using quarterly time series data from Q1 2012 to Q3 2021. Results show long-run and short-run relationships between GDP and both IM and HS17, but only a long-run relationship with HS22 and a short-run effect on HS19. Following the effects of COVID-19, HS22 will be the fastest market to recover. GDP has the greatest effect on IM in the long run. Granger causality of real GDP was seen running to imports on IM, HS17, and HS19; Openness running to IM and HS19; and exchange rate running to HS17, HS19, HS21, and HS22, with only HS23 unaffected by any factor.
