This paper presents a Novel dual band double eye structured antenna for 802.16d (Fixed Wi-MAX). The proposed dual band antenna can produce two resonant frequencies within Wi-MAX range at 2.5 GHz and 5.6 GHz. The return loss of the proposed antenna is about -32 dB at 2.5 GHz and -42 dB at 5.6 GHz. The value of VSWR is 2 in the frequency ranges from (1.8 -2.9) GHz and from (4.5 -6.6) GHz. The simulation results demonstrate the -10dB impedance bandwidth at (1.8 -2.9) GHz and (4.5 -6.6) GHz. The radiation distribution of the proposed antenna is directional in H-plane and E-plane which is very closely matched with the operating range of fixed Wi-MAX. The dual band antenna is designed and its characteristics are simulated using Ansoft HFSS (High Frequency Structured Simulator). Keywords-Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (Wi-MAX), return loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), radiation pattern, ultra wideband (UWB).I.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
