The ability of students' mathematical communication is an aspect that needs to be developed in the learning of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the mathematical communication ability of class VII students in learning mathematics. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of this research is 6 students of class VII-AMTs Islamiyah Medan who come from high-ability students, medium-skilled students, and low-ability students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. To know how far students' mathematical communication ability is measured based on indicator of mathematical communication ability ie (1) Ability to express mathematical ideas through oral, written, and demonstrate and visualize it; (2) The ability to understand, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas in writing, as well as in other visual forms; (3) The ability to use terms, mathematical notations and structures to present ideas, describe relationships with situational models. The results showed (1) subjects with high ability to have good enough mathematical communication ability on each indicator both indicator 1, 2 and 3; (2) medium-sized subjects also have good mathematical communication skills in indicators 1 and 2 and less well in indicator 3; (3) low-ability subjects have poor mathematical communication skills on each indicator.
Teachers have a big role in developing and improving students' mathematical logical intelligence skills. However, teachers only focus on using package books in teaching in the classroom. As a result, students do not show a great attitude of enthusiasm, students struggle and are unable to think logically, creatively and innovatively in developing skills when doing math problems. Therefore, researchers are interested in creating a pocket book based on Mathematical Puzzles (TTM) class XI. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of the pocketbook. This research is a research and development or R&D with a 4-D to 3-D model. The results of this study are the calculation value of V Aiken on the validation data of material experts of 0.903 and media experts of 0.8 are classified as feasible to use. Then the results of the calculation of V Aiken student response data of 0.932 and teacher response data of 0.894 are classified as very practical to use during learning. While the calculation of the t-Paired test in the pretest and posttest results obtained the value ,t-count.=6.1807, there is an increase in the mathematical logical intelligence of students so that the book is categorized as very effective. It can be concluded that the pocketbook based on class XI mathematical puzzles can improve the mathematical logical intelligence ability of class XI students.
<p>Manajemen pendidik dilaksanakan dengan memfungsikan semua sumber daya yang ada secara optimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena seluruh proses diharuskan melibatkan seluruh komponen yang ada agar dapat mengelola serta menfungsikan seluruh komponen agar sesuai dengan fungsinya masing-masing guna memperoleh hasil pendidikan dan pembelajaran yang bermutu. Tujuan dari penelitain ini adalah agar dapat memperoleh pemahaman mengenai Representasi manajemen pendidik madrasah aliyah swasta di kabupaten Deli Serdang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan Pendekatan Fenomenologis. Adapun yang menjadi sumber data dalam penelitian ini terbagi 2 yakni sumber data primer dan sekunder. Sumber data primer yaitu Ketua Yayasan, Kepala Madrasah, Guru, dan Murid. Dan sumber data sekunder yakni dokumen – dokumen madrasah, jurnal, catatan lapangan, dan berbagai dikumentasi lainnya. Prosedur pengumpulan data penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis data yaitu <em>reduction, data display, </em>dan<em> conclusion drawing/verification.</em> Setelah itu dilaksanakan Uji keabsahan data melalui Pengujian kredibilitas, <em>dependability</em>, <em>transferability</em>, dan <em>confirmability</em>. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta di Kabupaten Deli Serdang telah menerapkan fungsi manajemen pendidik. Hal ini didasari pada temuan penelitian dan diperoleh data yang menunjukkan bahwasanya Madrasah Aliyah Swasta di Kabupaten Deli Serdang telah melaksanakan seluruh tahapan-tahapan dalam manajemen.
