ResumoAs intoxicações em animais domésticos é algo crescente, principalmente por produtos tóxicos como raticidas, sanitizantes, medicações, agrotóxicos e plantas. Muitos tutores desconhecem os perigos destes produtos e o risco à saúde dos seus animais. Objetiva-se com este trabalho relatar um caso de um canino intoxicado espontaneamente por SOLUPAN. Uma cadela, sem raça definida de 1 ano de idade, apresentou sinais clínicos sugestivos de intoxicação, após ingerir detergente desengraxante alcalino (SOLUPAN), sendo encaminhado ao atendimento veterinário para realização de exame clínico e laboratorial, que demonstraram intensa alteração hepática e anemia severa. Foi instaurado protocolo terapêutico sintomático com o qual foi possível a reversão total do quadro clínico do paciente.Palavras-chave: Hidróxido de Sódio; hepatopatia; toxicidade; cão. AbstractIntoxications in domestic animals is increasing, especially by toxic products such as rodenticides, sanitizers, medications, pesticides and plants. Many pet owners are unaware of the dangers of these products and the health risks of their animals. The objective of this study is to report a case of a canine spontaneously intoxicated by alkaline degreasing detergent (SOLUPAN). A 1-year-old mixed-breed bitch showed clinical signs suggestive of intoxication after ingesting SOLUPAN. Animal was referred to the veterinary service for clinical and laboratory examination, which showed intense hepatic alteration and severe anemia. A symptomatic therapeutic protocol was established and it was possible to totally reverse the clinical condition of the patient.
