Integral material is an important material to be mastered by mathematics education students. The purpose of this study is to produce integral material learning videos that are valid, practical, and effective for use in flipped classroom learning. This research is a development research consisting of 5 phases, namely: initial investigation; design; realization/ construction; testing, evaluation and revision; implementation. The instruments in this study were questionnaires filled with material and instructional media experts to measure validity, questionnaires filled by students using video to measure practicality, and test questions to measure the effectiveness of learning videos. The results of this study showed that the learning videos developed are valid with very good criteria, practical and effective with good criteria. The findings of this study also showed that the use of video learning on the flipped classroom can optimize the time of classroom learning to discuss material more broadly and deeply.
This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of flipped classroom learning on the results of learning the integral calculus material of mathematics education students. This research is a quasi-experiment with the research design is a randomized control group posttest only design. The populations of this study were 27 students who took integral calculus courses divided into two classes. The research sample was taken using saturated sampling technique. Students in the experimental class received flipped classroom learning, while students in the control class received direct learning. Research data in the form of student integral calculus learning outcomes obtained through test techniques with essay questions. The test results showed the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 74.57 and in the control class was 55.83. This research data was analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The analysis shows that there is an effect of flipped classroom learning on the results of learning the integral calculus material of mathematics education students.
This study aims to develop and find out the quality of teaching materials in the form of teaching modules assisted by the geogebra program on transformational geometry lectures. The Geogebra-assisted transformation geometry module is structured systematically and accompanied by steps to solve transformation problems using Geogebra. This type of research is development research (Research and Development / R & D). The development model is 4D which consists of four stages, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating. In this study, only three steps were carried out, namely the defining, the design, and the development stage. The research instrument is a module validation sheet. The product assessment was carried out by 3 validators consisting of 2 material experts and 1 media expert who was a lecturer in the mathematics education study program. The results showed that the assessment of the two validators of material experts on the geogebra-assisted transformation geometry module developed had an average total score of 3.38 with very good criteria, while for validators media experts had an average total score of 3.21 with very good criteria. Very good criteria from the results of the validation of media experts and material experts showed that the geometry module of geogebra-assisted transformation was valid and suitable for use as teaching material in lectures.
Mathematical reasoning ability is fundamental aspect in mathematic learning. Efforts to improve the ability of mathematical reasoning necessary. Based on that, this study was conducted to examine improvement of mathematical reasoning ability students who received problem based learning and guided discovery learning in terms of categories Early Mathematical Ability (EMA) students. This study was a quasi experimental research with the pretest-post-tes two treatment design. The population in this study were the students in class XI from one of SMK in Pekanbaru. Samples in this study were 76 students from two classes using purposive sampling technique. Instrument that used in this study was the questions of mathematical reasoning ability test. The findings of this study are: there is a difference in the improvement of mathematical reasoning ability among students who get problem based learning and students who gain guided discovery learning on medium KAM category students. In high and low KAM category students, there is no significant difference in the improvement of mathematical reasoning abilities between students who received problem based learning and students who received guided discovery learning.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
