Polymorphic behavior has a broad impact on chemical technology influencing the solid-state properties
of many materials from pigments to pharmaceuticals. The simultaneous presence of two or more polymorphs
may introduce ambiguities in the characterization of materials using spectroscopy, diffraction, or scattering
techniques. In this paper we present a solid-state 13C NMR method, together with the recently published direct
exponential curve resolution algorithm, allows the elucidation of component spectra from the total spectrum
of a mixture of polymorphs, previously characterized by X-ray diffraction.
Abstract— By using current technology, it is possible to design and fabricate performance‐competitive TV‐sized AMOLED displays. In this paper, the system design considerations are described that lead to the selection of the device architecture (including a stacked white OLED‐emitting unit), the backplane technology [an amorphous Si (a‐Si) backplane with compensation for TFT degradation], and module design (for long life and low cost). The resulting AMOLED displays will meet performance and lifetime requirements, and will be manufacturing cost‐competitive for TV applications. A high‐performance 14‐in. AMOLED display was fabricated by using an in‐line OLED deposition machine to demonstrate some of these approaches. The chosen OLED technologies are scalable to larger glass substrate sizes compatible with existing a‐Si backplane fabs.
This paper describes Eastman Kodak Company's new color filter formulations for use in White OLED displays. The new filters deliver a substantially higher color gamut compared with commercially available LCD filters at nominal thickness, and substantially higher efficiency and lifetimes, when compared with thickened versions of the same LCD filters.. This paper will discuss combinations of a new blue dopant and a new blue host that produce superior luminance and efficiency for blue OLED devices. Furthermore, this blue system provides excellent operational stability that enables superior performance in both monochrome and full-color displays. Devices exhibiting this outstanding performance are simple in architecture, robust with respect to dopant concentration, and require no co-doping to achieve optimal performance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
