A case of periodic neutropenia with specific symptoms of gingiva and alveolar bone loss in primary dentition is reported. The patient was a boy, and it was followed between the ages of 3-and 9 years-old.
The cause of extraction and the occurrence of caries after the treatment was highly related to the P-PCR rather than the PCR.
5) Hemisectionand Root separation were selected as a final treatment plan in our clinic.6) Most of our cases were successfully treated by conservative surgical procedure enabling other procedure to be used if needed.The above results emphasize that more attention should be paid to the furcation area treated by the surgical method, with not only whole mouth plaque evaluation such as by PCR, but part plaque evaluation by P-PCR.
