Mathematics is a crucial component of programmes on engineering, science and technology. In the context of computerised distance learning education, the subject of engineering mathematics is often delivered and assessed through a digital learning environment. This paper gives an overview of the history of distance learning education and its mathematics component. It also discusses the most popular online automated technologies applied to the assessment and evaluation of engineering mathematics including problems of the on-line representation of mathematical graphs and equations in the assessment material.
Decision-making is one of the essential functions of any manager. The means of visualization play a crucial role in supporting the manager in the decision-making process. This paper discusses the visualisation of information risks based on integral indicators. It provides a description of a mathematical model of the method of dynamic meta-anamorphosis and an example of its practical implementation. The advantages of using a hybrid approach to the development of dynamic metaanamorphosis are discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
