Upaya perintah dalam mencegah penyebarluasan penularan virus COVID-19 masyarakat diwajibkan untuk mematuhi protocol kesehatan. Program pengabdian masyrakat yang di laksanakan oleh Politeknik Perkereta Apian Indonesi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat untuk nenikiki kesadaran tinggi untuk memathui protocol keseahatan melalui Mencuci tangan, Memakai masker, dan Menjaga jarak (3M). Kesadaran masyarakat akan protokol kesehatan berupa rajin mencuci tangan, memakai masker dan menjaga jarak (3M) dapat mencegah penularan virus COVID-19. Selain kegiatan tersebut juga di adakan kegitan berupa donor darah untuk membantu rumah sakit dan puskesmas dalam menyediakan stok darah di masa pandemic. Metode pelaksanaan adalah dengan penyuluhan tentang perilaku 3M untuk mencegah penularan virus COVID-19, Pemeriksaan gratis dan donor darah, Dialog interaktif perilaku 3M dan praktik 3M untuk anak2. Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh masyarakat desa Manisrejo berjumlah 120 rumah tangga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya 3M dan anak-anak mampu untuk melakuan 3M dengan benar.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) during 2019 and 2018 calculated that there had been 655 accidents at level rail crossings. Accidents often occur in high traffic areas such as the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT. So the researchers conducted research in order to find out the performance of the railway operating facilities under the auspices of the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT as well as public perceptions of its performance. Researchers used a sound level meter to measure the loudness level of the level rail crossings siren sound at the research location. Furthermore, it is compared with the standards stipulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 44 of 2018. Then tested using Anova to find out whether the population mean will be of the same value using data from each population. Furthermore, an unstructured interview was conducted to hear the perceptions of road users on the performance of the operational facilities at level rail crossings which became the research object. The results showed that the five level rail crossings which were the object of the study had the loudness level of the siren sound below the set standard. In contrast, flat cross lights perform well. Meanwhile, the public perception of the operational facilities at level rail crossings is that they are functioning well.
One example of technological developments in signaling systems in Indonesia is the use of detection facilities on rail lines. A detector is a device that functions to detect the presence or absence of train facilities on the railroad track. Detection equipment is divided into two types, namely axle counter and track circuit. Track circuit detects the presence of trains on the rails, while the axle counter functions to count train axles. This study aims to find a detection system for facilities that is suitable and in accordance with the conditions of the Surabaya-Madiun cross and find out the characteristics for the installation of detection facilities in accordance with the pathway. To find out the appropriate facility system, the two tools are analyzed in terms of system reliability, environmental influences, advantages and disadvantages, disruptions, maintenance, and operations. The results showed that an effective and efficient way of detecting traffic in Surabaya - Madiun was the detection of a double head axle counter facility. This tool is very suitable to be installed in the emplacement.
In July 25th, 2013 Indonesia for the first time provided rail link service from and to an airport. It particularly was operated from and to Kualanamu International Airport (KNIA), Deli Serdang, North Sumatera, which was also operated for the first time on that date. Managing the airport rail link service, a private company namely PT. Railink basically is the subsidiary company of PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). The price of train ticket, in fact, is getting higher as time goes by. It is noted that the ticket price has increased from IDR 80K to IDR 100K since January 15th, 2015. Concerning this situation, this study is conducted to investigate the demand elasticity of the airport rail link service from and to Kualanamu International Airport as well as factors in taking the airport rail link. The result of the study reveals that the demand of airport rail link service as the impact of the increasing of the ticket price is inelastic since its value of elasticity reaches -0.38. The other result, moreover, finds six reasons influencing people to go with airport rail link: comfort, punctuality, speed or travel time, practicality, access to train station, and other modes’ tariff.
Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang adanya permasalahan semakin meningkatnya kecelakaan kerja dikarenakan resiko bahaya yang cukup besar di tempat kerja. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran penggunaan APD dengan benar sehingga meningkat pula kesadaran akan pentingnya K3.Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi. Sasaran sosialisasi ini adalah taruna dewasa program studi Teknologi Mekanika Perkeretaapian. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa masih terdapat beberapa peserta sosialisasi yang mempunyai kesadaran penggunaan APD yang kurang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dimulai dari memperkenalkan kembali APD beserta penggunaan dan fungsinya. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan gambaran resiko yang terjadi saat penggunaan APD tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan. Tahap akhir dilakukan adalah manfaat dalam K3 yang diperolah saat penggunaan APD tepat sesuai ketentuan.
